Kaweche Wins Hearts at Constituency Debate
Independent candidate for Mzuzu City South East, William Chikweta Kaweche, impressed voters during a constituency debate held at Masasa Primary School.
The debate, organized by the National Initiative for Civic Education (NICE) with support from the European Union (EU), gave aspiring Members of Parliament a platform to present their vision for development.
Kaweche outlined a people-driven manifesto that resonated with the community. He pledged to improve access to clean water, expand school infrastructure, and create youth employment opportunities through vocational training. He also emphasized the need to strengthen health services in underserved areas.
On infrastructure, Kaweche promised to champion the upgrading of key road networks in Masasa, Kaligomba, and Kanthete, stressing that good roads are vital for boosting business, transportation, and access to essential services.
Kaweche’s presentation, rich with practical solutions and community-focused ideas, left many convinced that his agenda represents real change. His manifesto is increasingly being viewed as the ticket to victory in the upcoming September 16 parliamentary election.
