First Lady To Host fundraising Dinner For The Queens

First lady madam Monica Chakwera to host a fundraising dinner on 6 April 2023 for the Malawi National Netball team ( The Queens).

The Queen’s are in need of funds to help them in the preparation of the Netball world cup that South Africa will be hosting from 2 July to 6 August in Cape town .

The dinner will take place at Kamuzu Palace in the capital Lilongwe.

The Queen’s are in group B ,the same group with England , Scotland and Barbados.Malawi has so far competed at two world championship games and one Commonwealth game.

The Queen’s regardless of their good performance struggle with funds mostly as compared to The National Football team (The Flames). In 2007 Malawi National Netball team secured position 5 beating some strong teams like South Africa,cook Islands and Wales.
