Pregnant woman delivers unaided at Bwaila hospital

Two months ago after an expectant woman delivered without a help from the nurses at Bwaila hospital, another woman has delivered in the night of 16th May ,2023 without a help from the nurses at the same hospital in Lilongwe.
According to the source, Nurses refused to help the expectant woman during the night though they were called to help until the woman delivered outside the hospital alone without the presence of the nurses.
The source who asked for anonymity described that he saw all what happened.
” We called the nurse to help the woman before she delivered but nothing happened until she delivered outside the hospital alone. ” the source Added
The office of the ombudsman at Bwaila hospital confirmed this but refused to say more saying the investigation is underway.
