An exciting afternoon is on await as FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are returning at home with Blue Eagles on the menu while Dedza Dynamos are back in Karonga after few days ago when they booted Chitipa United out of the FDH Bank Cup.

Ekwendeni Hammers are back in the Capital City as they face Civil Service United.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets vs Blue Eagles

With Silver Strikers exempted from fixture this week, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will have a chance to reclaim the top spot as they face Blue Eagles at Kamuzu Stadium.

The people’s team have played 270 minutes without scoring a goal this season as they were beaten by Chitipa United 1-0 before barren draws against Kamuzu Barracks and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers.

On the other hand, Eagles who are coming a narrow 1-0 defeat to Ekwendeni Hammers will be eager to continue with their impressive form at Kamuzu Stadium and force a way into top 6 of the Super League table.

Eagles’ only defeat to Kamuzu Stadium was against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve in the quarterfinals of the FDH Bank Cup last season. In their last two meetings against Bullets Senior team at the Soccer Mecca, Eagles have managed to walk away with two points.

“We need to treat the game as any game. We need to have positive mind when approaching this game,” said Pasuwa.

Eagle are 7th with 15 points and they are looking to bag their first win over Bullets since 2012 when Charles Ngosi’s lone goal handed them the win.

Eagles are one of the three teams that have recorded more wins against Bullets. They have 9 wins from 36 meetings and Bullets have five more wins with 13 games ending in stalemate.

“Last time that we played a league match we didn’t score. This time around I think we need to concentrate more on the offensive part of it for us to create chances in order for us to have those goals coming. The mentality when out position, we need to track [back]. We are taking too much without taking the ball away from the opponents,” added Pasuwa.

Blue Eagles who finished second will miss the services of their Goalkeeper, Brighton Munthali who is in South Africa with Flames and also defender Macdonald Lameck who is serving a one-game suspension after accumulating three yellow cards in three consecutive games.

On the other hand, Bullets will be without the services of at least seven players in this fixture due to injuries and National Team Commitments.

“It’s [about] a positive mind when each and everyone is given an opportunity to play without talking of names. Each and everyone is signed to play when given chance prove that you are part of the guys signed to play not to wait for Patrick Mwangulu, or to who and who.

“That’s the reason why we sign more players, we are not taking this other side to say they won’t have this one. Or even we play against a lower division side will make us run. They know that playing Bullets maybe one time National Team can see me or even Bullets can sign me.

“It’s part of football [not to score in three consecutive games] but it can be worrisome, it’s one part which we are working on. The attacking part of it where we need to take chances when they come. Inside that six-yard box, you don’t need to take two, three touches for you to score,” he said.

Civil Service United vs Ekwendeni Hammers

Two teams that are coming from winning their previous games as Civil Service United beat Bangwe while Hammers get full points over Blue Eagles.

Ekwendeni Hammers are fifth with 18 points and a win can take them to third leapfrogging Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and Chitipa United.

“Our target is to play in the Top 8,” said Luckson Nyoni, assistant Coach for Hammers.

Ekwendeni are yet to beat Civil in four attempts, losing twice and drawing twice.

Civil are 9th with 14 points from 11 games and a win will take them to sixth with 17 points.

Karonga United vs Dedza Dynamos

Bangwe All Stars and Red Lions’ wins on Sunday pushed Karonga United to the relegation zone as they are passing through the tough lane this season.

Karonga are 14th with 11 points and they are meeting a team that is 10th placed with 14 points.

The first meeting between the two sides ended in stalemate as Clement Nyondo scored for Dedza while Josiah Duwa scored for Karonga United.

The Ingwina collected maximum points over Dedza in a return match in Karonga.
