Apostle Shonga Urges Malawian Faith Leaders to Embrace Revival Message

Rehoboth Christian Church International overseer, Apostle Dr. Chileshe Shonga from Lusaka, Zambia, has called on Malawian faith leaders to shift their focus toward preaching the message of revival.
Speaking in Blantyre on Friday during an interface meeting with the Pastors Peace Makers Fraternal (PPF), Apostle Shonga emphasized the urgent need for a spiritual awakening that transcends materialism.
“In this season, the world needs a volcano-type revival message, not a money-centered gospel,” said Apostle Shonga. “Faith leaders must rise. Let’s not wait for white preachers to come to Malawi. What I’ve seen in Africa is a tendency to prioritize foreign voices, but we can also take our message from Africa to Europe.”
He further cited signs of revival spreading beyond the church into politics and music, noting that secular musicians turning to worship is evidence of God’s restoration mission in Africa.
Bishop Esnart Chafulumila, Secretary General of the Pastors Peace Makers Fraternal, echoed the sentiments, reaffirming PPF’s commitment to spreading the Word of God in Malawi and beyond.
“The world desperately needs the revival message,” said Bishop Chafulumila.
