Top Table Clash in Goshen FAM Women League in North

Two top table placed teams in this year’s Goshen FAM Women League in the North Moyale Barracks Women and Mzuzu City Hammers Queens are set to clash on Saturday at Chibavi ground.

The defending champions Moyale Barracks will be looking to continue their dominance a week after handing last season’s runners up MK Academy their first defeat while Mzuzu City Hammers Queens will try to prove a point following their impressive start in this season.

Moyale and Hammers Queens have won all their five games and have 15 points, Moyale Barracks is top thanks to the goal difference coaches from both teams have predicted a tough game while hoping to win.

Queens coach Anold Nong’a Mtonga says his team has set top two finish this season and will claim the day tomorrow Saturday.

“Our target is to finish in top 2 this first round, we are ready to host defending champions we are aware they have good players but we are not afraid of them, mark my words after 90 minutes Hammers queens will carry the day.” said Mtonga in a written response.

Moyale Barracks Women assistant coach Bridget Chirwa says her team is confident of getting maximum points and finish the league with unbeaten record.

“So far we are doing well but it will be a tough one considering that they are unbeaten as well but we are confident we will carry the day.” Chirwa said.

Moyale Barracks Women has scored 29 goals while Hammers Queens have scored 13 goals both have conceded twice having played and won all their 5 games so far.
