President Chakwera to Returns from Multinational Visit
President Lazarus Chakwera is set to return to Malawi on Saturday, 24 August 2024, after an extensive tour that included Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Vatican City, and Germany.
The President’s journey began on Wednesday, 14 August 2024, with a two-day state visit to Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. This visit aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and explore collaborative opportunities between the two neighboring countries.
Following Mozambique, President Chakwera continued his travels to Zimbabwe, where he engaged in discussions on regional cooperation and mutual interests.
In Vatican City, he met with key figures to discuss matters of shared concern and foster connections with the Holy See. The visit to Germany involved high-level talks with officials, focusing on enhancing development partnerships and addressing global challenges.
The President’s return marks the conclusion of a significant diplomatic mission aimed at bolstering Malawi’s international relations and advancing its development goals through strategic partnerships.
