Chakwera ask Churches to help Govt to accomplishing national development goals
Chakwera writes:
Today, we joined the faithful of the Catholic Church to witness and celebrate the consecration of the Very Reverend Alfred Mateyu Chaima, who has now assumed a new episcopal role as Bishop of Zomba Diocese.

As custodian of the laity, Bishop Chaima is a significant contact point for my administration in the pursuit of effective delivery of socioeconomic services to communities within Zomba Diocese and the entire Eastern Region.
We will count on his insights and advice to shape government policies in alignment with the pertinent issues affecting Malawians across sectors such as health, education, agriculture, tourism, energy and climate change among others.

Let me restate that my administration will continue fostering cordial relations with the Church in accomplishing national development goals as estimated in the Malawi2063 vision.
We wish the new Bishop success in his new role.
Congratulations.
