Kaizer Chiefs offer MK225M for Bullets’ Nkhoma
Premier Soccer League side, Kaizer Chiefs have tabled a R4.3 Million which is about MK225 Million for the services of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets attacker, Lanjesi Nkhoma, reports Soccer Laduma.
Kaizer Chiefs spotted the brilliance of the dazzling youngster at the just-ended Cosafa Cup where they enquired about the availability of Bullets’ top goal scorer.
Lanjesi is said to be the ideal replacement of the Zimbabwean attacker, Khama Billiati who is not willing to renew his contract with Amakhosi after the expiry of his contract.
“The offer [for Lanjesi Nkhoma] is now in but am not sure when it started and when they sent it through. But, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets officials were talking about it,” said the source.
It is reported that Bullets want to keep the youngster until the end of the season but it is believed that the Club can be attempted to allow him to leave after receiving a good offer.
Another source told South Africa’s leading online publication that Chiefs are eager to land Nkhoma as they consider him as an ideal replacement for Billiati.
“He is even better than Khama Billiati at that age. He is [just] 21 and has a great future ahead of him. If you watched him at the Cosafa Cup, you can agree that he is a really good player. He can easily replace Khama at the Club.
“I think that’s why Chiefs don’t want to waste time land him,” quotes Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have played down the reports saying that they are yet to receive the offer from Amakhosi.
Bullets Chief Executive Officer, Suzgo Nyirenda said as a Club, they are yet to see Chiefs’ bid.
Responding to the rumours, Bullets Chief Administrative Officer, Albert Chigoga said they are yet to receive offers being approached by Chiefs.
“I have also just read about Chiefs’ interest in Nkhoma. I have seen such stories in South African publications. That is all I can say for now. The news is still just a rumour to us for now because we have not been officially approached about it.
“So once we are approached as a club, we will consider the matter and decide on the way forward. Suffice to say that we are hugely satisfied with the way our players are contributing to the success of the national team and we hope this will continue,” Chigoga told Daily Times Sport.
Ahead of the new season, the Soweto giants have signed seven players as they are looking to build a strong team that will be able to compete for trophies in the forthcoming season.
Chiefs signed Given Msimango, Mduduzi Mdatsane, Pule Mmozi, Ranga Chivaviro, Edison Castillo, Tathayaone Ditlhokwe and Tebogo Potsane.
