Shadow MP Makondi Pledges Development for Blantyre–Chilomoni, Kabula, and Nancholi Constituency
In a move aimed at boosting public confidence ahead of the upcoming general elections, UTM Vice President for the South and Shadow Member of Parliament for Chilomoni, Kabula, and Nancholi Constituency, Richard Makondi, on Wednesday met with party leaders at Chimwemwe Orphanage in Nancholi, Blantyre.
Addressing the gathering, Makondi reaffirmed his commitment to uplifting the lives of people in the area, emphasizing his intention to contest as a Member of Parliament for the constituency.
“I have seen the suffering people are going through here—rising commodity prices, poor access to development, and limited educational opportunities. I am standing on the UTM ticket as MP for this area to help you overcome these challenges,” he said.
Makondi also highlighted that under the leadership of UTM President Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, the party is committed to improving the livelihoods of Malawians, especially in underserved communities.
Known for his vocal and dynamic political approach, Hon. Makondi continues to gain trust as one of Malawi’s most engaging and motivational political figures.
