Mzuzu University (MZUNI) authorities have expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction of the African Center of Excellence in Neglected and Underutilized Biodiversity (ACENUB) and the Entrepreneurs Training and Incubation Center (ETIC), both located in Mzuzu.

The remarks were made on Friday during a media tour organized to showcase MZUNI’s major initiatives. The tour featured visits to several key facilities and projects, including the university’s mega farm at Choma, the Dunduzu Hotel, and the construction sites of ACENUB and ETIC.

“We are pleased with the pace and quality of the work being done,” said Winner Chaŵinga, Coordinator of the ETIC Project. “These centers are crucial for developing entrepreneurial skills and unlocking economic potential in the region.”

Echoing similar sentiments, Dr. Mavuto Tembo, Director of the ACENUB Project, noted, “The ACENUB initiative is progressing steadily. We are confident it will be completed on time and will serve as a hub for research and innovation in biodiversity.”

Both projects, which began earlier this year, are expected to be completed within a one-year timeframe.
