Vice President Dr. Michael Usi Reaffirms Government Commitment to Nasolo Bridge Project

Vice President Dr. Michael Usi today held a high-level meeting with officials from Beit Trust, the Roads Authority, and the Roads Fund Administration to review progress on the ongoing construction of the Nasolo Bridge in Ndirande, Blantyre.

The meeting, which took place at Capital Hill in Lilongwe, served as a platform to strengthen ties with Beit Trust—one of the project’s key partners—and to address logistical and strategic issues to ensure the successful and timely completion of the bridge.

“Priority remains on delivering the bridge and upholding our development partnership,” said Dr. Usi. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration among stakeholders to overcome any challenges that may arise during implementation.

The Nasolo Bridge, which is under construction in the densely populated township of Ndirande, is expected to significantly improve connectivity and accessibility for local communities, easing transportation and boosting economic activity in the area.

Government officials and development partners reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that the project progresses efficiently and meets the needs of the people of Blantyre.
