The Malawi Deforce Force sponsored side, Kamuzu Baracks has on 12th April 2023 sealed lucrative sponsorship deals with three different companies.

During the partnership launching ceremony which took place at the MDF headquarters in Lilongwe, the Area 24 based Soldiers announced that the Club has falled in marriage with VB Courier Services, Sensor Integrated Limited and Masters Bakery.

VB Couriers Services have partnered with the 2017 Fisd Challenge Cup winners and 2016 Super League Champions as they have pumped in K10 Million cash for the whole season.

As for Sensor Integrated Limited, KB have received 61 boots of which 30 are on pledge and balls while Master Bakery, a subsidiary of Masters Security Group has provided KB with new football kits, water bottles for the tune of K6 Million and K10 Million in cash making the total Sponsorship packages being K16 Million.

Sensors Integrated Limited managing director, Faith Kalea said they want ro encourage players by giving them what they need in football to achieve their careers.

“This is a social investment. When we talk about wellness and wellbeing, we also have to look over things that happen in our wellbeing. We want to promote wellness in football. We have developed commitment and we will be monitoring the performance of the team. We want the team to grow and we want the team to have one brand and move together,” said Kalea.

Masters Bakery General Manager, Christopher Njewula said the company will extend the sponsorship if the team win Super League in 2023.

Colonel Francis Juma Medi speaking in behalf of the Club, hailed the three companies for coming into marriage with the team.

“As Kamuzu Barracks, we have been doing well, but we have been lacking support and motivation to our players. We have given our players what they want and we are sure that they will also give us what we want this season. We want to win the league and cups. We don’t want to finish the league empty-handed. We are requesting our players to maintain discipline,” said Juma

Kamuzu Barracks finished third last season behind the Champions, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Blue Eagles. They are the only Malawi Defence Force sponsored side to win the league.

KB parted ways with Venom, a company that was sponsoring the Cub last season with kits.

The chase for the targets will start this weekend as the 2023 Super League rolls out and the soldiers will travel to Mzuzu to face Ekwendeni Hammers.
