CRVL Vice Chair Resigns Just Days After Being Elected

Central region volley league (CRVL) vice chairperson Trust Joe Gome Mtegha has resigned days after being voted to the position.

According to a letter that The Malawi Guardian online has seen, Mtegha has disclosed that he has done this to concentrate on personal matters and had already communicated this to all people who consulted him to compete on the position of vice Chairperson.

“I would like to deliver My promise that I communicated to all who have been consulting me to compete At the election that currently due to some personal commitment lined up with the period of term, I would not be able serve (action) the game of volleyball as it is with regards to the position of Vice Chairperson which I was declared to lead.” Part of letter reads.

Mtegha has also thanked all who nominated him to stand as Vice Chairperson for CRVL and those who participated during the voting time at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on March 18, 2023 that their trust confidence are not taken for granted.

Mtegha once saved as General Secretary for CRVL from 2017 to 2018.

On Saturday March 18, 2023 Central Region volleyball committee held an annual general meeting at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe where Trust Joe Gome Mtegha was voted as Vice Chairperson beating his rival Ipyana Tunkute Mpoola by 9 votes to 7 votes.
