Central Region youth football to conduct vetting exercises

As one way of curbing age fabrication among youthfully players in the country, Central Region youth football Committee has organised a vetting exercises in six district.

According to the statement dated 27 February 2023 and signed by its General secretary Rabson Woodwell says the exercise is part of screening all players from different teams who want to play in different youth leagues in the Central region.

The committee has also encouraged all players that they should come with relevant document for verification and they has also added that this will be done to all teams who want to take part in the three leagues namely: First Capital Under 18 league, M’mera mpoyamba Under 16 league and Nthanda Under 14 league.

The districts which have been chosen to conduct the vetting exercise are Lilongwe, Salima, Dedza, Nkhotakota, Mchinji and Kasungu. Lilongwe has been given a space of 16 teams in both leagues and other District has been adviced to register 10 teams in the coming football season.

The vetting exercise will be held on March 4,2023 in all six district and the districts have been advised to choose venues for conducting their vetting exercise.
