FINCA Malawi Awards Winners K1.2 Million Each

Three lucky winners have shared K1.2 million Kwacha each in FINCA Malawi’s Tiipemelele promotion final draw held at the institution’s head office in Blantyre on Wednesday.

Under the promotion, three additional winners received K300,000 each, while nine others won K100,000 each. Another 30 winners received FINCA Malawi-branded items.

FINCA Malawi Chief Commercial Officer Madalitso Jonazi said the promotion had successfully concluded, recording significant gains in financial inclusion.

Jonazi said the initiative contributed to a 40 percent increase in the use of FINCA’s mobile platform and a 50 percent growth in registrations for Phindu savings accounts.

“Additionally, the promotion expanded access to business loans for underserved segments and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), supporting economic growth through responsible financing,” said Jonazi.

He added that FINCA Malawi aims to complement government efforts to promote economic growth by increasing access to financing.

The promotion offered total cash prizes exceeding K9 million, reflecting the institution’s commitment to promoting a savings culture among its customers.

To qualify for the draws, customers were required to conduct at least five transactions through FINCA Mobile, deposit a minimum of K20,000 into a Phindu savings account, or access business loans.
