Airtel Malawi Expands Customer Service Presence in Mzuzu

Airtel Malawi has strengthened its customer service footprint in the Northern Region with the opening of a new customer service shop at Hope Square in Mzuzu and the refurbishment of its outlet at Mzuzu City Mall.

The development forms part of the company’s nationwide plan to upgrade 42 shops across Malawi with modern designs featuring improved layouts, bold Airtel branding and enhanced customer service spaces.

Speaking during the launch on Friday, Airtel Malawi Managing Director Aashish Dutt said the company is committed to ensuring that its customer service spaces reflect the technological progress Airtel continues to roll out across the country.

Dutt said Airtel’s shops are not only service points but also important centres that support customers, Airtel Money agents, dealers and franchise partners.

According to the company, the new Hope Square shop and the revamped Mzuzu City Mall outlet are expected to improve access to Airtel Money services, connectivity solutions and customer support while bringing services closer to communities.

The expansion is also expected to contribute to employment creation and economic growth in Mzuzu through increased business activity and improved digital access.

Mzuzu City Mayor Chiyembekezo Moses commended Airtel Malawi for investing in the city, saying the project will improve access to essential services while contributing to local economic development.

The refurbished outlets feature dedicated service areas and modern interiors designed to improve customer experience and deliver faster, more personalised services.

Airtel Malawi says it will continue unveiling additional refurbished shops across the country in the coming months as part of its broader strategy to support Malawi’s growing digital needs.
