Mzuzu South East Rallies Behind Catherine Nyangulu Ahead of Polls
As the campaign period draws to a close, the people of Mzuzu South East Constituency have expressed overwhelming support for UTM parliamentary shadow candidate Catherine Nyangulu, assuring her of their votes in the elections scheduled for next Tuesday.
According to reports from her door-to-door campaign conducted between Thursday and Friday, September 12, Team Nyangulu has gained significant ground, with residents showing readiness to usher in new leadership.
Nyangulu, who is contesting under the UTM banner, is said to be one of the most popular candidates in the constituency. The party enjoys strong support across several key areas, including Kaligomba, Kanthete, Chiputula, Chibavi, Msongwe, and Masasa.
Local residents have voiced their optimism for change. Mandela Mhone from Msongwe highlighted the community’s desire for a fresh chapter in leadership.
“We previously tried male parliamentarians, but there is nothing tangible to show in our area. It’s about time we make a difference and choose a female candidate, Catherine Nyangulu, alongside President Dalitso Kabambe,” said Mhone.
With growing confidence among supporters, Catherine Nyangulu heads into Tuesday’s election buoyed by strong grassroots backing and hopes of delivering meaningful change to the people of Mzuzu South East.
