Sunganimoyo assures Chewas that he is neutral
Social commentator Isaiah Emmanuel Sunganimoyo, says his announcement that he has stopped working with two Chewa tribal groupings in Malawi does not mean that he has stopped protecting and defending Kalonga Dr. Gawa Undi of Zambia as His Majesty the King of the Chewas.
Sunganimoyo said he recognizes fully that Kalonga Dr. Gawa Undi should be respected at all times and Chewa chiefs who are against him will be his enemies forever and he cannot work with them anymore for rebelling against His Majesty Kalonga Dr. Gawa Undi.
He said all other Chewa chiefs in Malawi must offer their full respect to Gawa Undi as he is their superior King advising those that are rebelling against Kalonga Dr. Gawa Undi to stop phoning him on matters affecting the Chewas.
Speaking through a video clip circulating in various social media platforms, Sunganimoyo said the Chewas beside being in majority in Malawi, they are of shame to other tribes in Malawi because there is no unity among the Chewa chiefs.
Sunganimoyo has claimed that this shame is being witnessed by President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera failing to take part in the activities of the Chewas so that he cannot be pointed fingers for being favoring one Chewa tribal grouping.
He said it is sad that President Chakwera is being respected by people from other tribes who invite him to attend cultural activities observing that this is lacking amongst the Chewas in Malawi that some Chewa chiefs have vowed not to attend the Chewa activities organized by their colleagues who also are the Chewas.
The social commentator has appealed to two Chewa leaders of CHEFO and Chifukwato cha a Chewa to organize a meeting of the two executive camps to meet on a round table discussion on the reasons behind dividing themselves and the Chewa people.
He has proposed that Dr. Napolion Dzombe be delegated to travel to Zambia to meet Kalonga Dr. Gawa Undi to tell him the source of the divisions amongst Chewa chiefs and inviting him to come to Malawi for the Chewas to unite for one tribal grouping.
“Gawa Undi has to review the concerns of the Chewa chiefs in Malawi for one solution, but continued with these divisions will take their Chewa tribe to nowhere,” said Sunganimoyo.
He has expressed hope that the leadership of CHEFO Dr. Khaila and Chifukwato cha a Chewa Senior Group Sosola will listen to his audio and the plea to initiate contact and dialogue so that the Chewas in Malawi are one tribe with one culture.
