Woman dies on hit and run road accident in chitipa

Police launch manhunt……..

A 36 years old woman has died on hit and run road accident in Chitipa district.

The incident occured between the night of 20th and 21st September 2023 at Chitipa -karonga tax depot.

It is reported that on this fateful day , Chitipa Police received information from well wishers that a certain woman was lying in a pool of blood at Chitipa – karonga tax deport .

Following information, a team of traffic police officers visited the scene and discovered that the victim was involved on motorcylist hit and run road accident.

The victim was taken to Chitipa District Hospital where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Postmortem results revealed that the woman died due to loss of blood from head injuries.

The deceased Fimale Mtambo, 36, hails from Siyombwe village from the Area of Senior Chief Mwaunlambia in Chitipa district.

Meanwhile, Police in the district advise all road users to always observe road rules and regulations.

Furthermore Police appeal to the public that if someone has the information concerning this incident should immediately report to the police for further action.
