Shadow MP Walter Nyamilandu Manda Pledges Development for Nsanje South West if Elected on September 16, 2025

Shadow Member of Parliament for Nsanje South West, Hon. Walter Nyamilandu Manda, has reaffirmed his commitment to bringing meaningful development to the constituency once voted into office in the upcoming General Elections scheduled for September 16, 2025.

Speaking to The Malawi Guardian, Hon. Nyamilandu Manda said the people of Nsanje South deserve better infrastructure, access to quality education, healthcare services, and economic empowerment initiatives.

“I have listened to the people of Nsanje South West, and I understand the challenges they face every day. From poor road networks, lack of clean water, inadequate school facilities, to limited access to healthcare, these are not just problems, they are urgent priorities,” said Manda.

Manda who is standing as Independent candidate added that, once ushered into Parliament, he will work tirelessly to lobby for government support and partner with development agencies to bring transformative projects to the area.

“My goal is to be a servant leader who listens and delivers. This constituency has great potential, and with the right leadership, we can unlock opportunities for our youth, empower our women, and ensure that every household begins to feel the impact of real development,” he said.

Manda also hinted at specific plans such as improving feeder roads to enhance market access for farmers, constructing more school blocks to reduce the distance learners walk, drilling boreholes for clean water, and advocating for health centers in hard-to-reach areas.

In a separate interviews Residents applauded Manda’s commitment, with many describing him as a hopeful leader who understands the plight of ordinary citizens.

As the race for Nsanje South west heats up ahead of the September elections, Hon. Walter Nyamilandu Manda says he is ready to offer the kind of leadership that prioritizes people’s needs and delivers results that matter.
