Northern Region Coaches Committee Holds Elections Today in Mzuzu
The Northern Region Coaches Committee is set to elect new executive members today, Saturday, during a crucial gathering at Njakwa Lodge in Mzuzu.
According to Mc Nebert Kazuwa Vice Chairperson of National Coaches Association, who is overseeing the elections, some positions are going unopposed while others are being hotly contested. Notably, a female candidate is going unopposed, guaranteeing her place among the five-member executive.
The key positions and candidates include:
- Chairperson: Kasquare Nyasulu and Innocent Muchikondi
- Vice Chairperson: Christopher Nyambose and Kondwani Mwalweni
- General Secretary: Steven Nkwinika (unopposed)
- Vice General Secretary: Winston Katenga Kaunda
- Treasurer: Isaac Kapyepye and Kumbukani Mwachande
- Vice Treasurer: Ronald Kasanga
Additional members vying for committee roles include Josephy Njala, Wyton Kaunda, James Siyeni, Martin Mnkhwamba, Victor Mwakheawa, and Hannock Mwanza.
The election is expected to strengthen the leadership of the coaches committee and drive the development of football coaching standards in the region.
