MDYFC Calls for Collaboration with Teams
The newly elected Mzuzu District Youth Football Committee (MDYFC) has called for stronger collaboration with football teams ahead of the upcoming season.
Vice Chairperson Bright Nyirenda emphasized that effective cooperation between the committee and the teams will be key to achieving success during their term.
“We want good collaboration with teams so that our activities are successful during our term as a committee,” said Nyirenda.
During the elections, Burton Mphande was confirmed as Chairperson, while Bright Nyirenda defeated Benjamin Banda to secure the Vice Chairperson position. Kenphillps Kanyinji and Joseph Jere were confirmed as General Secretary and Vice General Secretary, respectively.
Bunnet Shonga triumphed over Glyn Mwiba to become Treasurer. The elected committee members include Jonathan Damaseko, Maggie Mandindi, Recton Matupi, Humphreys Gototo, and Alinafe Phiri.
All other districts also held their elections on Saturday, ushering in new committees that will serve youth football in their respective areas for the next four years.
