Aerobic Enthusiasts Applaud One NICO for Supporting Health and Wellness in Mzuzu

Aerobic enthusiasts in Mzuzu have commended One NICO for sponsoring weekend aerobics sessions, urging the company to continue supporting health and wellness initiatives in the city.
Speaking on Saturday at Mzuzu Shopping Mall, Gabriel Mwale—a regular participant in the sessions—highlighted the importance of such activities in promoting healthier lifestyles.
“Many deaths are linked to preventable diseases caused by poor physical activity and unhealthy habits,” Mwale said. “Aerobics help shape the body and improve overall health. This is a powerful tool to combat lifestyle diseases.”
He praised One NICO’s involvement, noting that their support motivates both the young and old to adopt healthier living habits. Mwale also commended the company’s introduction of the Child Saver Policy, describing it as a valuable addition to family well-being beyond physical fitness.
“I’ve already registered for the policy. It guarantees support for my children’s education and healthcare—even after I’m gone,” he said. “We won’t live forever. Our children should not suffer because we failed to plan. It’s not right to leave those responsibilities to relatives or to let our children miss out on a good education.”
Mwale encouraged fellow parents to take proactive steps in securing their children’s future through financial investments such as insurance policies.
Chris Kumwenda, Team Lead for NICO Life in Mzuzu, echoed his sentiments and urged parents to make informed decisions that ensure their children’s long-term security.

“Death is inevitable, but the greatest pain is leaving our children unprepared for life. Even jobs come to an end, and without proper planning, we cause innocent lives to suffer,” Kumwenda said.
She explained that the Child Saver Policy covers children under the age of 18, ensuring continued education and healthcare in the event of a parent’s passing.
“This policy is not just for the wealthy—it’s accessible to everyone,” she emphasized. “With a minimum monthly contribution of just K7,500, any parent can invest in their child’s future.”
Kumwenda added that the policy is flexible, allows withdrawals at any time, and includes profit accumulation for contributors.
With One NICO’s support, the weekend aerobics initiative continues to grow, drawing more participants while also raising awareness about the importance of both physical health and financial literacy.
