ACB suspends recruitment of enumerator in three Districts….

Recruitment of enumerators has been suspended in three Districts in the country by the graft-busting body, The Anti-Corruption Bureau over suspected corruption.

The recruitment process has Ben halted in Ntchisi, Dowa and Chiradzulu as most of people are alleging that the recruitment has not been done following proper procedures.

In a letter signed by the ACB boss, Martha Chizuma, District councils through the District Commissioner has been asked not to continue with the process without ACB’s consent.

“The Anti-Corruption Bureau has instituted an investigation in respect of a suspected offence Under the Corrupt Practices Act,

“Take note that you shall not without any written consent proceed with the recruitment and/of enumerators for the 2023 Unified Beneficiary Registry (UBR) in your District,” reads the letter addressed to the District Commissioners.

The letter has added that failure to comply with the suspension, it will be amount to an offense Under Section 49A of the Corruption Act.
