Bishop David F Mbewe pays tribute to JZU
Self-spoken man of God from Machinga Bishop David F. Mbewe, has paid his tribute to the departed John Zenasi Ungapake Tembo {JZU] as a true patriot for Malawi and will be remembered as a strong Leader of Opposition the country has ever seen since the birth of multiparty politics in 1994.
Bishop Mbewe said had it been that JZU was still Leader of Opposition in Parliament, issues of no forex, no fuel would have come to an end as he could summon his opposition members to boycott Parliament only to return if government has addressed the issues at hand.
He said it is sad that motorists are queuing for fuel with opposition Members of Parliament (MPs) all quiet, the country has no fertilizer saying all seems not to be deeply touched because to them everything is business as usual while Malawians are in pain and suffering.
Speaking through a Sunday Service and his preaching is circulating in various social media platforms, Bishop Mbewe has described Leader of Opposition in Parliament Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa and all opposition MPs as very weak and are not serious to liberate Malawi from collapsing.
Bishop Mbewe said what the opposition MPs knows is campaigning for votes to enter into Parliament while on the other side giving no attention to the suffering of the people assuring them that he will pray for them not to bounce back into Parliament.
He said the MCP is not coming to the rescue of the suffering Malawians because of the weak opposition Members of Parliament and Leader of Opposition claiming that Malawians are feeling pain and suffering because of them for failing to give government concrete criticisms.
The Church Bishop has advised politicians who wants leadership that time is now, they must show to the people and not to wait for the time of campaign that they will entice the voters to vote for them under the influence of money.
He has called upon Government and opposition Members of Parliament to bring solutions to fuel and forex woos and not standing at a podium fighting for the 2025 elections reminding them that the hand of God is more than silver and gold.
“Opposition Members of Parliament (MPs) stand strong in Parliament, wake-up and act now, Secretary Generals of 9 parties in one Alliance, no medicines in hospitals, no fuel, no forex, what a shame to you?” said Bishop Mbewe.
Meanwhile, Political Activist Hon Bon Elias Kalindo has pleaded with church leaders of Roman Catholic, CCAP, Sevenths Day, Anglican, Islam and others, to stand up to liberate Malawians from the pain and suffering in the hands of the MCP.
Kalindo has noted with a great concern that opposition Members of Parliament are cowards, many are afraid of being arrested and threatened only to wait for Kalindo to be arrested and releases their fake statements as if they are standing together with Malawians.
“Time to love Malawi is now, rise up to preach the good news of the kingdom of God that Chakwera’s leadership has failed Malawians, if Malawi had 100 courageous church leaders like Bishop David Mbewe and Bishop Martin Mtumbuka of Karonga Archdiocese c, Chakwera would have been a listening President,” he said.
