Karonga United Grabs first win at home

Karonga United has defeated Civil Service United this afternoon at Karonga Stadium by a goal to nil.
The match started on a low Pace with both teams failing to break into their opponents half but as time went by the game find its rhythm as both had 2 shots on target in first 20 minutes.
Josiah Duwa, Davie Tobias And Saulos continued to cause panic to the visitors but they were too wasteful in front of goals And half time it was nil nil.
In Second half karonga looked a different side with the coming in of Victor Chirambo, Sheriff Shamama and Alfred Chizinga in the first ten minutes replacing Davie Tobias, Henry Chiwaya,Gerald Ngwira And this gave Karonga much dominance in the game no wonder a low pass from Shamama found Saulos Moyo in box who slotted in to give Karonga a lead.
The goal scored by Karonga made Civil to wake up from the slumber and start putting pressure to the host with Patrick Phiri hitting the Post in the process but at the end of it all Karonga United claimed 3 points.
Speaking to media, head coach for Karonga United Kondwa said they are happy with the win after enduring a difficult spell.
“Am so excited am in cloud nine for the win today at home which is our first home win and am glad my boys did what we told them to do which was kill the game And grab the 3 points of which we did And we expect to continue from where we have stopped”. Said Ikwanga.
His Counterpart, Oscar Kaunda Coach for Civil Service United Said that their friends were playing very bad football with long balls so they could not match them as they are Used to passing game.
” You can see our friends were playing long balls of which we are not Used to as Civil because we play passing football And so we move And see our next assignment”. Kaunda Explains.

Saulos Moyo was voted Man of the match And walked away with a miniature.
In other matches Blue eagles shared points with Dedza Dynamos after a 2 all draw while Moyale Barracks And Mighty Mukuru Wanderers also ended in a draw.
