MCP react on Munthali’s resignation

Malawi Congress party has argued Rev Maurice Munthali to come forward with evidence proving the alleged corruption to help relevant institutions to fight the malpractice.

This reacts over the two different letters of resignation of Rev Maurice Munthali from his roles of being the party’s National publicity secretary as well as the Presidential Advisor on peace, Reconciliation and National Unity.In the letters Munthali describes increase in corruption in the Administration of Tonse Alliance as root cause of his resignation.

” I have deeply and prayerfully reflected my official role and personal participation in the prevailing governance atmosphere marred by persistent corruption allegations related scandals.Iam sapiently troubled in my conscience to continue in the position you graciously appointed me into “, reads part of Munthali’ s letters.

In the letter signed the the Acting National publicity ,Hon Ezekiel Peter Ching’oma the party express sadness on the resignation as Munthali has been an asset to the team and that the party is grateful to his contributions over the years.

The party has further thanked the Revered for services rendered in his capacity and wishes him well in his future endeavours.
