Couple Arrested for Allegedly Killing Baby Over Sex Dispute
Police in Chiradzulu have arrested a couple accused of murdering their two-week-old baby in Sasu Village.
Spokesperson Hurbert Mwangoka identified the suspects as Macdonald Mili (60) and his wife, Triphonia Chancy (36), who married three months ago.
Reports indicate the couple had a dispute after the woman allegedly refused sex, saying the baby was too young. The argument reportedly led to a decision to kill the infant.
The baby was allegedly strangled and buried in a garden. The case came to light after community members noticed the child was missing and alerted police.
The suspects allegedly confessed and led officers to the burial site. They are expected to appear in court on murder charges.
