UTM’s Mwabutwa Vows to Deliver Development in Karonga Lufilya
Lughano Mwabutwa, the United Transformation Movement (UTM) aspiring Member of Parliament for Karonga Lufilya Constituency, has appealed to voters to support his bid in the upcoming general elections slated for September 16.
Speaking after submitting his nomination papers at Mwenetete Teachers Development Centre on Tuesday, Mwabutwa emphasized his commitment to development, citing a track record of tangible contributions to the community.
“Through my past actions, I have demonstrated that I am a development-conscious leader, committed to improving infrastructure and services for the community,” he said.
Mwabutwa pledged to prioritize the construction of warehouses for farmers, enabling them to store their produce properly and reduce post-harvest losses — a persistent challenge in the area.
He also called on his supporters to uphold peace throughout the campaign period, stating, “Development can only thrive in a peaceful environment.”
