The National Repentance Malawi is hosting a two-day national crusade at Namatiya Village, Traditional Authority Sazola in Mulanje District, aimed at promoting peace and unity ahead of the country’s general elections scheduled for 16th September 2025.

In an interview, Reverend Dr. Edward Mikwamba, the Country Director for National Repentance Malawi, said the group has organized a series of prayer sessions across the country focused on the upcoming elections.

“It is the role of faith leaders to champion unity and peace ahead of the 2025 general elections. We don’t want any bloodshed,” said Reverend Dr. Edward Mikwamba.

Speaking during the crusade, Bishop Dr. Silvester Chabuka, one of the keynote speakers, called on political parties to accept election results peacefully.

“You know in any election we have only one winner. For the sake of peace and progress, I urge all political parties to accept the presidential election results on 16th September 2025. We are praying against any political violence,” said Bishop Chabuka.

National Repentance Malawi is an interdenominational movement founded by Reverend Jeffrey Nash Daly, Global President of the Global Day of Repentance based in Middletown, California, USA. The group has over 7,000 intercessors worldwide and focuses on praying for nations globally.
