Unbeaten Baka City Thrash Rumphi in Simso Innobuild

Unbeaten Baka City on Saturday beat Rumphi United 4-1 to increase their chances of qualifying for the last 8 of the Simso Innobuild League at Rumphi stadium.

A hat-trick from Joseph Mwambungu and one from Washington Msiska were enough to see Karonga based get maximum points while the home team pulled a consolation from Laurent Nyasulu.

After the game coach for Baka City Davie Muyombe praised his players for good execution.

“My players played according to our plan of scoring early and it happened we scored quickly our plan is to earn promotion this year.” Muyombe said in a post match interview.

Rumphi United Coach William Kambewa accepted the defeat saying they were poor team on the day.

“We should accept we were slow on the ball , and those quick goals cost us the game and with this loss it means we can’t make it to the last eight, we will bounce back next season”. Said Kambewa.

In other games Mzimba United lost to Embangweni United for the first time at Loudon ground via Mapopa Banda’s lone goal, while Raiply were 5 nill winners over winless Manyamula in cluster D.

In cluster B Ekwendeni Hardknockers edged out Mzuni 2-1 at Ngazi ground, while in group C Lube Masters thumped Chihame All Stars 6-2.
