Renowned Malawian musician Namadingo has announced that he will not be performing at the upcoming Umodzi Music Concert, scheduled for November 17 at BICC. The reason for his withdrawal stems from a disagreement over payment, as the organizers offered him 6 million MWK instead of the 10 million MWK he initially requested.

In a statement on his social media page, Namadingo expressed his frustration, saying, “I quoted 10 million, but you say you have 6 million. Don’t put me on your poster; I won’t be coming if you can’t meet my fee.”

The concert will still feature other prominent artists, including Lulu and Keturah, but Namadingo’s absence is sure to leave a significant gap in the lineup.
