SECOND VICE PRESIDENT TO HOST INVESTORS, STAKEHOLDERS ON MOMBERA UNIVERSITY PROJECT TOUR

The Second Vice President of the Republic of Malawi, Right Honourable Enoch Chihana, is today expected to host investors and key stakeholders on a familiarisation tour of the Mombera University construction site in Mzimba District.

The tour aims to provide investors and stakeholders with an opportunity to appreciate the progress made on the project, assess ongoing works, and explore areas requiring support to ensure the successful completion of the university.

Following the site visit, the Second Vice President will convene an interface meeting with the investors and stakeholders at Sandton Conference Hall in Mzimba District. The meeting is expected to focus on mobilising investment, strengthening partnerships, and discussing strategies to fast-track the construction and eventual operationalisation of Mombera University.

President Peter Mutharika appointed the Second Vice President to champion the construction and completion of Mombera University, underscoring government’s commitment to expanding access to higher education and promoting socio-economic development in the northern region and the country at large.
