Revolutionizing Payments: E-Pay Limited Unveils EPay Mobile Money System
In a major stride toward advancing financial inclusion, E-Pay Limited has launched its EPay mobile money system, a platform designed to simplify digital transactions and broaden access to financial services across Malawi.
Speaking at the launch, Brian Boby, CEO of E-Pay Limited, described the innovation as a game-changer in the payments sector.
“We’ve officially launched EPay mobile money to redefine the way Malawians transact. The system is not only for those already registered on TNM Mpamba and Airtel Money, but also for individuals who haven’t registered, although we rely on the two networks for the system to operate efficiently,” Boby explained.
The system can be accessed by dialing *464# for non-Android users, while Android users can download the EPay Mobile Wallet App from Google Play.
The platform was officially launched by Patrick Mhango, Executive Director for Financial Sector Regulation at the Reserve Bank of Malawi, who commended the initiative as a vital step toward bridging digital payment gaps in the country.
“This initiative supports the government’s efforts to expand and improve financial inclusion,” Mhango said.
The rollout of EPay mobile money underscores a growing commitment to transforming Malawi’s digital economy by making transactions more accessible, inclusive, and convenient for all citizens.
