Q Malewezi Launches Preachers Son Album

Renowned poet Qabaniso Malewezi known by his stage name Q Malewezi on Saturday 6 May launched his album called son of a Preacher’s son at Bingu international convention center in Lilongwe.
Malewezi said he was impressed with the turn out of people at the event and he describe it as a success.
He said; “I am very impressed with the turn out of people at this event because I was not expecting that many people will come and witness this album launch.”
US ambassador David Young who among those attending said he was happy with what Malawians are doing in improving the art in the country as it has been shown by Q Malewezi.
The event reached at the climax when Q Malewezi brought former Zathu Band members to join him on the stage.
Some of the noted faces which witnessed the album launch were Minister of tourism Vera Kamtukule and Standard Bank Chief Executive officer Philip Madinga.
Some of the poets who cheered Q Malewezi were Raphael Sitima and Phindu zalie.
