Police arrest one,recover Motor cycle in Chitipa

Police in Chitipa district have arrested a 27-year old Hastings Chilongo and recovered a Motorcycle valued to k850,000.

On November 11,2022 Chilongo allegedly stole the Motor cycle from the owner in Chitipa on pretence of hiring for self ride. He went away with it and sold at k250,000 in Karonga.

The police detectives from Chitipa police station instituted investigations into the matter which led to the arrest of the suspect and recovery of the Motor cycle.

Chilongo hails from Chendo village in the area of Senior Chief Mwaulambia in Chitipa district.

He will appear in Court soon to answer Theft of Motor cycle charge.
