PACE For Social Change In Car Wash Fundraiser to Aid Vulnerable Communities

In a heartwarming display of community support, a Mzuzu based youth organization, PACE for Social Change, has been going to the streets with soap, sponges, buckets, and enthusiasm, all in an effort to make a meaningful difference.

Members of the organization have rolled up their sleeves to host a car wash fundraiser aimed at providing assistance to vulnerable families and provide necessities for school going orphans in the city.

The initiative which is being supported by Grand Palace Hotel, is taking place inside the hospitality giant’s carpark, with the youth organization’s members getting to work with great energy and determination.

According to Executive Director of the organisation, Gibson Chisale, the car wash fundraiser is not just about cleaning vehicles; it was about providing a helping hand to those who need it the most.

“We are doing this as a fundraiser to three activities that as an organisation plan to do this year. These are; helping our orphans with basic school needs, assisting vulnerable persons like the elderly in our communities as well as holding a massive clean up campaign in the city of Mzuzu.

“All proceeds being collected are earmarked for supporting these vulnerable populations within the community,” said Chisale.

He has since also thanked Grand Palace Hotel for hosting the initiative.

He said, “We are very grateful of the way the hotel swiftly responded positively to our request to use their premises.”

He added that Pace for Social Change has meticulously planned how the funds would be utilized, ensuring maximum impact for those in need.

He has also expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response the initiative has received.

“We are thrilled to see our efforts making a real difference in the lives of those facing hardships,” said Chisale. “It’s truly heartening to witness the power of collective action.”

Pace for Social Change was initiated in 2015, with the aim of creating opportunities to the youth and is located in Chibanja, Mzuzu City.
