Nuuven Natural Capital to invest in Malawi’s Agricultural sector

A London based land-focused asset management platform, combining expertise across farmland and timberland investment specialists has expressed interest in investing in Malawi’s Agricultural sector.

This comes after the State President of the Republic of Malawi, Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera on Friday held bilateral talks with the Company’s Head Mr Martin Davies in London.

Chakwera through his Facebook page said Nuuven Natural Capital intends to initiate a robust value addition revolution to transform the fortunes of Malawi’s small scale farmers.

“Nuveen Natural Capital’s focus is on building capacity of Malawi’s agriculture sector through best land management practices, mechanization, climate-smart technologies, and modern storage infrastructure.

“I have gladly learnt that they also intend to initiate a robust value addition revolution to transform the fortunes of our small scale farmers,” said Chakwera.

The President added that Mr. Davies will visit Malawi in a couple of weeks to kick-start the processes of our long-term cooperation.

Dr Chakwera is in United Kingdom, London to attend the coronation of his majesty King Charles III and her Majesty the Queen Consort slated for this coming Saturday at Westminster Abbey.
