NRFA FAM Moto Division One Finals Set for Saturday

The Northern Region Football Association has confirmed that it is set to hold the long awaited 2024 FAM Moto Division One this Saturday at Luwinga Technical Centre.

“The Northern Region Football Association is pleased to inform the sports fraternity that it will host the 2024 FAM Division 1 finals and third-place match on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Luwinga Technical Center.” reads part of the communication from NRFA.

Karonga based Green Rovers will tassle against Chirambo FC from Rumphi in finals while third place will be between two Mzimba teams Mzimba United Reserve and Madede.

Chirambo FC head coach Wedson Maurice Chisale says his team is hopeful of grabbing the cup on Saturday while lamenting the delay affected them.

“We have hope that we will win this cup to honour our community though we were disturbed by delay our aim to participate in Simso Mzuzu 12 League.” Chisale said.

Denis Atutule Mwandosya Assistant Coach for Green Rovers says they have done everything to ensure the trophy remains in Karonga banking on their active games during the waiting time.

“Tactically we have done everything possible and our participation in politicians league have helped us remain in the shape and we will grab the trophy.” said Mwandosya confidently.

Chirambo’s 18 year old youngster Satiel Mgona Chirambo is currently leading the scorers chat with 13 goals.

Karonga based teams have dominated the Division One since it’s inception Songwe Border United were the first followed by Karonga Giants last season.
