Lenard Njikho Introduces K3.5 Million Football League in Mzuzu City North

Independent Aspirant Lenard Njikho has launched a football league in Mzuzu City North Constituency, aiming to occupy youth and showcase their talent.

The league, sponsored by Njikho, will also explore expansion to netball and women’s football.

“The league will help expose talent while keeping our youth away from wayward behavior we are still looking at technicalities to reach out to netball and women’s football,” said Njikho.

As an independent candidate, Njikho emphasized the freedom to associate with various individuals and potentially secure a comfortable win.

“Being independent will give me freedom of mind I will not be limited and people have asked me to stand again after observing they are raging behind in terms of development,” Njikho said to the masses who came to witness the launch.

The league’s organizing chairperson, Mapopa Mgemezulu, commended Njikho’s initiative.

Traditional leader Kafwili Nyirongo expressed confidence in the league’s success.

“We believe him we know him well he is one of our own and this will encourage youth to take part in elections,” Nyirongo said.

Northern Region Football Association General Secretary Masiya Nyasulu also attended the launch.

The launch featured a match between Zolozolo United and Lupaso Platinum, and the winner of the league will receive K1,000,000.
