Kasungu Secondary School Honors Top-Performing Students, Teachers

Kasungu Secondary School awarded its best-performing students and teachers at the Junior Certificate and Malawi School Certificate of Education levels on Saturday.

Twenty students and 22 teachers received undisclosed cash prizes for their dedication and hard work.

Acting District Education Manager for Central East Education Division, Sakayi Musango Musopole, praised the school’s performance, citing it as a source of pride within the division.

“This demonstrates the institution’s leadership is committed to recognizing everyone’s contributions,” Musopole said. “Performance awards foster discipline, cooperation, and good relationships within the school.”

Musopole expressed satisfaction with the division’s efforts yielding positive results, noting that teachers and learners are responding well.

Headteacher Andrew Chinseu attributed the school’s success to its vision of improving student performance. “Our dedicated teachers and students effectively implement our strategies.”

Chinseu celebrated the achievement, referencing community pressure to enhance performance.

Awardee Shirah Kam’mwamba, 16, who achieved 12 points, expressed gratitude. “I’m honored and happy, as I didn’t expect such results. It’s due to God’s grace and hard work.”

Kasungu Secondary School topped the Central East Education Division with a 100% pass rate at Junior Certificate and 96% at Malawi School Certificate of Education in the recently released results.
