Idana wants to quit Mbeya for failing to fulfill contractual obligations
Flames midfielder, Chimwemwe Idana is reportedly unhappy with Tanzanian Second-tier side, Mbeya City for their conduct, reports Times Sport.
Idana, former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Vice Captain, joined Mbeya City earlier this year where he signed a two-year contract before being loaned out to Silver Strikers.
The midfield maestros has been at Area 47 based side for six months and his loan deal expired three weeks ago. Initially, Idana was expected to return to Mbeya after the expiry of his loan but he is yet to return to Tanzania ahead of the new season.
According to reports, Idana wants his contract with Mbeya City to be terminated as he is accusing his bosses of failing to fulfill some of their contractual obligations.
“It is a tricky matter. He has not been paid for some time. The club has not been responding to emails and phone calls,” the source said.
Idana enjoyed a stellar short stay at Silver Strikers where he plundered six league goals and raking in five assists. He won multiple man of the match awards.
Mbeya City Chief Executive Officer, Emmanuel Kimbe earlier last month confirmed that the Club was opening to opening discussions with Silver Strikers over a potential permanent deal.
Mbeya City are demanding MK24 Million for Idana as a transfer fee and Silver Strikers have been priced out of the deal. They diregistered him.
The 26-year-old Midfielder is currently in Zambia where he is having chances of joining Kabwe Worriors and he was expected to play for the Club last weekend against Forest Rangers but he failed to do so, according to Wa Ganyu.
Idana left FCB Nyasa Big Bullets after failing to agree on contractual terms.
