United Transformation Movement (UTM) presidential aspirant Dr. Dalitso Kabambe emphasized the importance of unity and transformation in the party, urging delegates to elect a trustworthy team at the upcoming elective convention on November 17, 2025, in Mzuzu district.

Speaking to journalists after meeting delegates at Malawi Sun Hotel in Blantyre, Kabambe highlighted his 25 years of experience in top government positions as an asset for UTM’s future. “I urge UTM delegates to vote for me. The party needs experienced leadership to drive it forward, and I am qualified to do that,” Kabambe said.

Kabambe’s career includes roles as Budget Director, Governor of the Reserve Bank, Principal Secretary in the Malawi government, among other high-level positions. “I am bringing this valuable experience into UTM so the party has leaders who can effectively run the country,” he added.

Addressing Malawi’s economic challenges under the Tonse Alliance leadership, such as hunger, poverty, and joblessness, Kabambe stressed the need for a government that can address these issues. He promised to bring economic reform and transformation if elected.
