Chitipa holds Wanderers as Tigers move from relegation

Chitipa United And Mighty Mukuru Wanderers failed to dislodge league leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets with a goalless draw at Karonga Stadium this afternoon.

Chitipa being unbeaten at home had an upper hand coming into this game but a first half display from both teams didn’t reflect to the hype of the match as it was being talked.

Second half brought in a new rhythm to the game as both teams were looking to break the deadlock but goalkeepers from both sides were too good to let in goals and at end of it all it ended goalless between these two sides.

Mark Harrison coach for Wanderers applaud his boys for the job well.

“Let me applaud my boys they put on a gallant fight but we could not score but all in all good job from my boys”. Said Harrison

His counterpart Nginde Mtetemera said that they really wanted three points but his boys were not clinical enough.

” As you can see we created a couple of chances but we could not convert them into goals but that happens we will work out on that and see what the future holds” Said Mtetemera

In other matches Mighty Tigers has defeated Dedza Dynamos by two goals to nil at Kamuzu stadium courtesy of Precious Chipungu and Precious Chiuza’s goals, at Nankhaka 10 men Moyale Baracks defeated Struggling Blue Eagles at their backyard by a goal to nil scored by debutants Chifundo Damba while at Kasungu stadium a late goal from chikaiko batison gave Civil service united a narrow 1-0 win over Kamuzu Baracks.

As it Stands Chitipa United and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers have maintained their second and third position respectively, civil service climbs to seventh, Kamuzu Baracks maintains fifth position while tigers goes out of relegation zone to eleventh position as for Dedza is on position nine and Moyale is on position eight while Blue Eagles still struggles in the relegation zone.
