Chiputula Primary Award Teachers and Learners
Teachers and Learners from Chiputula Primary School have been awarded for dedication and good performance the event took place at the school on Friday.
Headteacher for the school Ollens Msonda while lamenting insufficient funding says the awards were organized to motivate learners and teachers.
School Health and Nutrition Coordinator for Mzuzu district Normal Nyasulu Mvula said the district is doing well as they have reduced repetition to 15 percent.
“We have made progress with repetition at 15 percent, we are doing everything possible to make sure it drop to single digits”. Mvula said.
Speaking to learners one of the school’s former students who is working at Northern Education Division Kabaghe encouraged learners to be punctuality and dedicated if they want to do better in life and education.
“You should aim higher to get higher marks and be attentive in class and teachers should strive to get the best out their students so that they get good grades “. Said Kabaghe.
Linda Nyirenda who was awarded as the best teacher says she will continue working hard so as to bring out the best from her learners.
“I am delighted and i will continue working hard so that I get the best of my learners”. Nyirenda said.
The event was organized by the School Committee using School Improvement Grant and School Development Fund in partnership with several local NGO where different gifts were given out.
