Katete Vying for Nkhatabay Mpamba Constituency Parliamentary Seat

Alliance For Democracy Aford National Director of Elections David Brown Katete is vying for a parliamentary seat in Nkhatabay Mpamba Constituency in next year’s general elections.

Vocal Katete who led Mchengautuba United Football Club years ago is already on the ground where he says he has accepted the plea from local leaders and has started David Katete Community Water Initiatives where his team is maintaining water points and Schools in the area, Football and Netball bonanzas for the youth, and Gospel competitions just to mention a few.

The ex-football administrator is also a board member of the Centre for Multiparty Democracy (CMD) and the Africa Parliamentary Association for Human Rights says he is geared and ready to represent the people of Nkhatabay Mpamba Constituency next year.

“With several initiatives I’m doing in the area people are aware of my intentions answering to their call, they should believe in me that apart from evenly distributing developments using the Community Development Fund and being well connected I will utilize my network to have other support from other organizations., Katete said.

GVH Kapalapata says Katete has already demonstrated as a development-cautious person from way back when he was at World Vision as I’m talking he has repaired boreholes apart from other developments so we know him from way back.

“People know him well here from his past he has shown good leadership and we have no doubt that if elected he will represent us well., said GVH Kapalapata from the area.

Malawi Electoral Commission is scheduled to start registration in of eligible voters next month for the September 2025 polls.
