President and Commander in Chief of Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) Bantu Saunders Jumah, has advised religious leaders, organizations and chiefs that are going to the State House to condole President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera following the death of Vice President Dr. Saulosi Chilima to condole him in good faith, Malawians are watching them.

Jumah has prayed that these groups of people are advising President Chakwera to exercise transparency and honesty on the investigations that led to the plane crash in the Chikangawa forest in Mzimba district on Monday 10th June, 2024 claiming the lives of Dr. Chilima and eight others, on board.

He said it is only transparent and honest investigations that can bring in peace in Malawi reminding religious leaders, organizations, and chiefs that their congregations and subjects are not going to watch them, if it is condolences, let it be and not otherwise.

Speaking through his Facebook page Jumah said not all supported Dr. Chilima’s silence in government but all sympathized with him on the circumstances that led to his death.

Jumah said Malawi citizens are not going to keep quiet far too long, the country is about to explode, and many citizens are in anger and in mourning, what is happening in Kenya will soon come to Malawi if the government continues to neglect the voice of the mourners in the independent investigations on Dr. Saulosi Chilima’s death.

He has observed that Televisions and radio stations in Malawi are beaming at what is happening in Kenya saying the MCP-led government wishes if Malawi was in the 1980s when there were no televisions and radio stations.

The MRP President said the Government of Malawi should not allow the police to shoot people to death for it to change observing that President Chakwera and his Ministers have closed their ears until citizens revolt, it’s when they can change.

“Malawi must learn from Kenyans, 22 citizens Kiwere led protesting on a Finance bill not signed into law, in Malawi life is tough and we have not acted, Malawi is sitting on a time bomb said Jumah.

He said President Chakwera allowed Parliament to illegally extend term of office to another one year and 4 months to 16th September, 2025 describing this as a violation of the rights of citizens and above all, the Republican Constitution.

Jumah has reminded Malawians that in June, 2020 they replaced the evil people of the DPP with the righteous people of the MCP-Tonse Alliance in government only to discover that they have put in government wicked people.

He said these wicked people found the national debts at K3.16 trillion and in just 4 years of their rule, they have borrowed over K10 trillion bringing the total national debts to K13.56 trillion excluding a mushroom of corruption which started with Covid-19 funds, President Chakwera’s honeymoon of global trotting spending K2 billion every week.

The MRP President has claimed that signs are on the wall that many people in Malawi are sympathizing with the death of Dr. Saulosi Chilima advising President Chakwera to listen to the mourners and not ararresthem through Cybercrime charges, saying this will provoke them to make Malawi another Kenya.
