Maranatha Academy has commended the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) for the timely release of the 2026 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) results.
Maranatha Academy Managing Director, Dr Ernest Kaonga, made the remarks during a media briefing in Blantyre on Wednesday.
Kaonga said the timely release of examination results allows parents to plan effectively for their children’s education while ensuring that students do not fall behind academically.
“Delays in results can prevent struggling students from receiving necessary resources or starting school on time with their peers,” said Kaonga.
Meanwhile, Kaonga expressed satisfaction with the performance of Maranatha Academy students in the 2026 MSCE examinations.
He said out of 895 students who sat for the examinations, 849 passed, representing about 95 percent. Six students scored 10 points.

Kaonga further disclosed that more than 700 students are eligible for university selection, with the majority scoring between 10 and 25 points.
He added that although no student reached the six-point threshold required for the school’s previous awards, the academy will still provide monetary incentives to recognise and motivate the students for their efforts.
Kaonga said the gesture demonstrates the academy’s commitment to supporting and encouraging students even when they fall short of their peak targets.
