Apostle Chileshe Shonga, a Zambian preacher and retired Detective Chief Inspector of the Zambia Police, has delivered a prophetic message to the people of Malawi ahead of the country’s highly anticipated general elections set for September 16, 2025.

Shonga, founder of Rehoboth Christian Church International in Zambia, declared that God has a divine plan to revive Malawi through peaceful, credible, and transformative elections.

Speaking to journalists during an interface with the Pastors Peace Makers Fraternal (PPF)—a network of Christian leaders dedicated to promoting peace and responsible leadership—Apostle Shonga shared a vision she says she received from God.

“God is taking Malawi to a new level of peace and solidarity, and this is directly tied to what will unfold during the upcoming tripartite elections,” she said.

The preacher urged Malawians to engage in fervent prayer for the nation, particularly for a peaceful electoral process. She anchored her message with biblical references from Psalms 84:9, Hebrews 12:9, and Job 14:7–9, encouraging spiritual reflection and hope.

Shonga also called on Malawians to uphold and pray for the nation’s political leaders.

“Let us not forget to pray for our government and all political leaders—that they may put God first in their decisions and leadership,” she emphasized.

She further commended the efforts of the Pastors Peace Makers Fraternal, under the leadership of Bishop Joshua Jere, for championing the message of peace and ministering to citizens across Malawi.

PPF Secretary General, Bishop Esnart Chafulumira, welcomed Apostle Shonga’s visit and message, describing it as both timely and vital.

“This is an eye-opener to all citizens, reminding us to vote wisely and to pray earnestly for peaceful and positive outcomes in the elections,” Chafulumira said.

As Malawi approaches a crucial political milestone, Apostle Shonga’s prophetic message has been embraced as a spiritual call to action—urging the nation to seek divine direction, unity, and peace.
